Karen and Eoin wanted their wedding at City Hall and Charlotte Quay to keep captured in the most natural and candid fashion. They are both very camera shy and made it a priority to keep portraits super short and have focus on their guests. Candid wedding photography was a huge priority for them!

As time drew closer to their wedding date in Dublin City Hall, I could tell Karen was getting more excited now that she had her stunning dress from Alice May Bridal, designer Savin London. She mentioned that the idea of portraits maybe didn’t seem so daunting after all. I assured her that we would still keep the portraits, quick, relaxed but creative!
Being a Dublin wedding photographer and being based in Dublin, makes it easy for me to venture into town and create routes for my clients that will help make our portrait sessions seamless.

Dena was an absolute pleasure to work with, listening to what we were looking for on our wedding day and was extremely accommodating. Dena captured the entire wedding day perfectly. There were lots of photos that we didn’t even realise were being taken. We couldn’t be happier with how everything went on the day and how the photos turned out. Would highly recommend Dena! “

Moya Corcoran was the celebrant for the day, always a pleasure to work with her and watch her do her amazing thing with the couple!
Eoin and his groomsmen were dressed in dapper suits as always from Protocol for Men. I loved the beige and blue tie! The bridemaids had the most stunning sparkly dresses from Self Portrait. Lyndsey Keogh was on the make-up and Amy Treacy on the hair. The whole vibe was super trendy and very much a Dublin City Wedding Vive!!!

After portraits at City Hall, I hopped on a double decker bus with the guests to take us to our second venue Charlotte Quay wedding. This was such a great idea from the couple. It helped keep the party together and created a fun atmosphere. The bus driver did get lost but that was part of the charm I guess.

Charlotte Quay was just the perfect spot to for this party to enjoy the sunshine and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone chilled in the bar area and jetty for cocktail hour and then later filtered into the dining area for speeches and dinner. After dinner it was back to the bar until first dance dance.

Charlotte Quay Wedding
Nestled in the heart of Grand Canal Dock, this venue offers a unique blend of modern elegance and scenic beauty, making it an ideal choice for our wedding.
The panoramic waterfront views provided a stunning backdrop for our ceremony and reception. The interior, adorned with green Connemara marble, polished concrete floors, and floor-to-ceiling windows, created a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere that impressed our guests.
Charlotte Quay’s commitment to sourcing the finest Irish produce was evident in the Mediterranean-inspired menu. Our guests raved about the flavourful dishes, from the citrus-cured trout to the pan-fried cod. The extensive wine list and signature cocktails added a delightful touch to our celebration.
The venue’s capacity to accommodate up to 70 guests for dining and 80 for a reception suited our intimate gathering perfectly. The in-house team was exceptional, offering personalized menus, place name cards, and even floral arrangements to match our theme. Their attention to detail and dedication to making our day special did not go unnoticed.
For couples seeking a stylish, centrally located venue with exceptional cuisine and a picturesque setting, Charlotte Quay is a top contender. Our wedding there was nothing short of magical, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to others planning their nuptials in Dublin.
