Wedding at 25 Fitzwilliam Place; a superb Dublin city venue

The venue and history

If you’re looking for a luxurious wedding venue in the heart of Dublin City, look no further than a wedding at 25 Fitzwilliam Place. It is located in Dublin’s Georgian Mile and spans three floors and caters for up to 60 guests.

The building has been tastefully renovated in a classic yet  contemporary style that still holds its original features. 25 Fitzwilliam Place has a one wedding per day policy which means this wedding venue is exclusively yours for the day and night.

This is the perfect venue for those couples who would like to have a more intimate number of wedding guests but thoroughly spoil them with a whole venue to themselves.

The building itself dates back from 1843 where it was passed down the generations of the Watson family until 1980 when it was used for business offices and meeting rooms until 2003. This is when the Kelly family purchased Fitzwilliam Hall and with it Fitzwilliam Place. The family completed refurbishment is 2012, changing its purpose from meeting rooms to event space.

The entrance into 25 Fitzwilliam leads to the intimate Lovette Lounge on the right and then The Eileen Grey room further down. This room be used for pre-dinner drinks and canapes receptions. Directly opposite that room is slick and contemporary style Stapleton Wine Bar where guests can enjoy a cocktail if they wished.

On the second floor you will walk into the stunning Gandon Rooms that will initially host the ceremony, followed by dining and then dancing the night away.

What are the photo opportunities at 25 Fitzwilliam Place

If you fancy a little walk

To the left of the venue is the Canal that I personally love to take couples for a casual walk and then stop when we see stunning spot.

Moving on from the canal, you can walk through the Georgian streets of Dublin and make use of the colourful doors and Georgian architecture.

I also try to bring a  little bit of the new art and architecture around the area into the pictures to give a variety.
