Starting the Day: Engagement Shoot in Glendalough

Our engagement shoot in Glendalough ad been planned for over a year. Katie and Matt wanted to celebrate their recent engagement with a once in lifetime trip to Ireland.

I picked them up from their hotel in Dublin and we drove to Glendalough. The rain and wind started to get heavier as we came to the Glendalough gates but spirits were high and their were very few people around which was fab.

We started our shoot at the upper lake which was just stunning. Katie’s red hair blowing in the wind. We then moved on to the lower waterfalls whch are always a calming oasis and never fail on beauty.

From Glendalough we drove up to the Guinness Lake or Lough Tay and did a walk around the hilltop to get the stunning view behind.

A Scenic Drive to Lough Tay

After capturing the charm and romance of Glendalough, we took a short scenic drive towards Lough Tay. The journey itself was breathtaking, with winding roads leading us through the Wicklow Mountains, revealing panoramic views of rolling hills and heather-covered landscapes.

As we arrived at Lough Tay, the couple was instantly captivated by its dramatic cliffs and dark waters, contrasting beautifully with the golden grasses of the surrounding hills. This spot offers a completely different atmosphere—wilder, moodier, and incredibly romantic.
