The Keadeen Hotel, well, where do I start? I hadn’t been to the venue before the wedding day which is not usually my style but Megan and David assured me that it was really lovely and there would be plenty of spots to shoot. Our original plan was to take everyone off to the Japanese Gardens down the road but due to interfering with valuable time with friends and families, Megan and David chose to keep everything at The Keadeen Hotel.
Upon arrival I knew instantly that Megan and David had made the right decision. The Keadeen Hotel is so incredibly pretty! Whoever does the landscape gardening should be applauded. The attention to detail is immaculate. That same attention to detail is carried on through to the interiors and right up to the fabulous bridal suit. Then there are the staff. Wow these guys literally blew me away. They were there at Megan and David’s beck and call. They could not do enough for me too I might add.
Working in this business means being surrounded by castles, estates, farms and big stately homes. There might be some time that goes by before you are presented with a smaller more intimate venue. I love these moments. The Keadeen hotel is an example of such a venue – it is beautiful and warm. It is a testament to the fact that nailing the core fundamentals of a business such as attention to detail, friendly welcoming staff, ambience and outstanding food is all you need to be as successful as they are today.
Now for the two beauties of the hour. Megan and David. You stole my heart the minute I walked into your house in Trim. David, ‘I hope you like dogs..’ I just beamed as I heard these little paws scurry to the door. ‘Yeah love dogs!’ Whilst one of their little dogs was nestled comfortably on my lap and the other one at my side we chatted about their plans for the big day. I felt so comfortable and relaxed around the two of them I nearly forgot that this was a meeting and not just a visit to a friends’ house.
Their zest for fun, travel and friendships hold this relationship beautiful glued together. Not only do they come across as totally in love but they clearly have a special ‘best friend’ relationship that I think can be hard to find.
The wedding day was filled with laughter from beginning to end and even though David was incredibly nervous, those nerves disappeared the minute he saw Megan walk down the aisle. Loads of giggles and laughter proceeded throughout the portraits and right into the speeches.
These guys have a ‘rock star’ energy that I couldn’t help but feed off to the point where when I went home I was absolutely buzzing. Megan and David, I am sure that your friends and family feel the same way and they probably see you as a match made in Rock Star heaven.
